On the 14th of February, we had our Relationship Celebration Gala at church. It was a night to honour all the marriages and friendships in our church family. The theme was Honey, Spice, and All Things Nice, with beautiful colours of white, gold (honey), light blue, and dark blue.

Getting ready for the gala was such an exciting journey. I learned so much and got to work with the most incredible people. We scraped paint off plinths, painted them, painted benches, learned how to apply vinyl on glass, and even helped with setting up everything on the day. We also got our hands-on cameras because we had to film the whole process for a video. It was hard work—but joyful work!

The evening itself was absolutely amazing. Seeing everyone dressed up and simply celebrating love and relationships and it was such a privilege to be a part of it. I’m so thankful to God for giving us Pastor John and Pastor Sharon as examples. 

Today was cleanup day and wow, there was a lot to do! We started off in the auditorium, and then I helped Thandeka, Nkuli, and Madi wash all the plates and glasses. And believe me, there were a lot! But even that part was joyfull. I really enjoyed it, because I got to do it for God and alongside such amazing people.
