This was my first Chariots of Light Tour ever, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. The tour lasted five days, in Sabie, and we camped at Merry Pebbles and visited four different schools along the way. Monday was a day full of surprises, and one I will never forget. When we arrived at Merry Pebbles, it was raining, and it was time to set up our tents for the week. Putting up tents in the rain was definitely not on my bucket list, but it turned out to be so much fun. I was amazed at how much joy and laughter there was as we all pitched our tents. Despite getting wet and being cold, the experience was full of joy, and that moment was amazing. Visiting the schools and showing the children and young adults who God truly is, and revealing His love to them, was such a blessing for me. I witnessed God at work in so many little hearts. I saw children yearning for Him, and both children and young adults experienced His love. I even saw God opening their eyes to a future they never knew existed.
Through it all, I was able to see God’s great love for each of His children. I felt God’s heart for this nation, but not just for the nation, but for the children of this nation, and I got to see more and more of His glory throughout this trip. The aointing at each school was so strong and powerful that countless children and young adults gave their hearts to God. God is taking the children! The first school we visited was a primary school. I was in awe of those children. They all had their hearts open to hear what God has to say, they all listened so intently, and they just soaked every single word out of you. They all praised and worshiped God that morning, and I can say with confidence that God worked in their hearts, and their lives are now changed. At the last school we visited, I had the opportunity to talk with two lovely young girls whose hearts were so open to hear what God has to say to them. One of them shared that she had been struggling with questions in her life, and everything we were sharing seemed to answer them. By the end of the conversation, she said, “I can really see that God sent you guys to us for a reason.” I was once again so amazed at how good God truly is.
I truly believe that many children and young adults had their hearts and lives changed simply by hearing about and worshiping God. God works in such mysterious ways, but when His plan is revealed, all you can do is stand in awe. I was so blessed by God with the sound and song that we got to have at each school. God really made Himself so real through each song we sang. God not only speaks through His written word, but God also speaks through His songs. May this be the first of many to come. May God continue to touch children and young adults’ lives.
